About Tend

Tend started from a personal frustration. The first time I really needed to prove something about my home — a damage dispute, a question about what I'd paid, a repair that had already happened — the information I needed didn't exist in any useful form. A lease was buried in months of email. Photos were on a phone I no longer had. A maintenance request I'd sent to a landlord was something I could only half-remember. I built Tend because I wanted the organized home record I should have had from day one.

Tend is a home management app built for the practical side of living somewhere — tracking tasks, managing bills, logging maintenance, and keeping documents organized.

Home admin is scattered across sticky notes, email threads, phone photos, and memory. A lease agreement lives in one email. An appliance manual is in a drawer somewhere. A task gets forgotten because it was only written on a notepad. When something goes wrong — a dispute with a landlord, an insurance claim, a surprise repair — having a record of everything in one place matters.

Tend is designed to be as simple as possible while still being genuinely useful. We don't want to add another complicated tool to manage. The goal is a clean, organized record of your home that takes as little effort as possible to maintain.

Tend works for renters and homeowners alike. Whether you are in your first apartment, managing a house, or somewhere in between, it is built to work for your situation.

What we care about

Simplicity

We'd rather ship fewer features that work well than a complex tool that requires a manual.
